SUMMARY OF IMPROVEMENT PRIORITIES

1. Quality of Education

1.1

Increase dedicated curriculum time for supporting students' emotional development and exploration of new interests, ensuring a balanced approach alongside core subjects like English and Mathematics.

1.2

Ensure all staff consistently check students' understanding and adapt their teaching to match students' individual learning needs, so that work is appropriately challenging for all learners.

1.3

Improve the quality of teaching through consistent use of evidence-based instructional strategies.

2. Behaviour and Attitudes

2.1

Continue to promote at least 'good' student and a reduction of persistent and severe absence.

2.2

Promote positive mental health and resilience for students and staff.

3. Personal Development

3.1

Ensure students' transition to their next setting are fully promoted and supported.

3.2

Provide a range of visits and experiences that support the curriculum and broaden students' personal developemnt.

4. Leadership and Management

4.1

Further develop a nurturing culture through NurtureUK to build on the schools' core beliefs, knowledge of students' needs and commitment to supporting them to achieve their very best

4.2

Strengthen leadership and management of SEND to ensure effective provision, accountability and inclusion across the school.
